LTdL2018 – Shahrul wins Best Malaysia Rider at Stage 2

19 Mar 2018, Kota Bharu – Stage 2 of LTdL 2018 covered 3 intermediate sprints and 2 climbs leading the way to the scenic Titiwangsa Mountains. The route of today being the longest distance was said to be the most challenging course for the riders.

Mohd Shahrul (Terengganu Cycling Team) having taken part in various UCI races and achieved smashing results, he also earned himself Best Malaysian Rider at Stage 2 today.

Beating the odds and defeating the challenges, Minali (Astana Pro Team) sprinted his way to the finish line first in 5:18:20 ahead of Matteo Malucelli (Androni Giocattoli – Sidermec) and Paolo Simion (Bardiani CSF).

Suaza Arango Bernardo Albeiro (Manzana Postobon Team) obtained the Red Polka Dot Jersey, Minali Riccardo (Astana Pro Team) clinched the Yellow Jersey whereas Seo Jooyong (KSPO Bianchi Asia Procycling) retained a White Jersey.

The Stage 3 of LTdL 2018 will be kicked off at Kota Bharu to its neighborhood city, Kuala Terengganu, in 166km along the coastal road.
