23rd Mar 2018, Tanjung Malim – The challenging and prestigious race has so far come to stage 6 which wrapped up the shortest distance of 108.5km, with drizzles in between. Both from Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG), Harrif Saleh and Artem Ovechkin made new titles to their team and the nation. Metkel Eyob (TSG) was the 10th to arrive at the finish.
Having triumphed in the 3rd placing at stage 4, the 29-year-old sprinter Harrif once again made it to the podium, by clinching 3rd. Of all stages, Luca Pacioni (Wilier Triestina-Selle Italia) sprinted to victory at stage 6 beating Riccardo Minali (Astana) who also obtained two times of victory in LTdL this year. Andrea Guardini (Bardiani-CSF) came in 4th.
The Malaysian riders have never failed to disappoint the country. Mohd Zariff Muhamad Nur Aiman (TSC) again hailed the title of Best Malaysian Rider today.
The leader of KOM has still remained in Artem Ovechkin’s hands.
The best Asian jersey (white jersey) was secured by Gidich Yevgeniy (Astana), and his teammate Riccardo Minali won the green jersey. Last but not least, TSG’s Artem concluded the race holding the best leader in overall (yellow jersey).
Stage 7 will cover 222.4km from Nilai to Muar.
