24th Mar 2018, Muar – Having already secured the lead in KOM and overall at stage 6, Artem Ovechkin (Terengganu Cycling Team) once more retains the titles today. The final stage tomorrow will determine TSG’s overall victory.
The sixth stage covering a hard-hitting distance of 222.4km from the national velodrome, Nilai to Dataran Tanjung Emas, Muar took Manuel Belletti (Androni Giocattoli – Sidermec) to clinch the win, beating Eugert Zhupa (Wilier Triestina – Selle Italia) and Ruslan Tleubayev (Astana Pro Team).
Muhammad Zawawi Azman (Team Sapura Cycling) was crowned the Best Malaysian Rider.
The tedious racing finished in 5 hours saw no changes in the leaders jerseys as the previous stage.
