“We want them to tell others about our brand and our bicycles. And we’re so far contented of how everything is going. As we go along, more and more people come to us directly in hopes of being part of the team. Some of them are really good; some from overseas, all the way from Europe. Some write to us, sending us their inquiries. We filter the applications, as some of them have the wrong understanding or different objectives. That’s why even with our riders, we try to remind them of our shared vision.”

Rapidino operates on sponsorship schemes, which they have formulated over time, trying to find the right formula to work best with the team.

“We have three schemes. Once we take them in, they enter into the first scheme where they get assessed closely. After they passed it, we bring them to the next, which is something similar with semi-sponsorships. They’re entitled for some additional allowances and podium prizes. They also get access to some facilities and resources. The third scheme entitles them to full sponsorship. At this level, we expect them to compete in international races.”

Riders train on their own for their specific racing categories. Rapidino gives the team a platform to prove their talent and courage on their own and the freedom to figure what works best for them in terms of training.

“RAPIDINO’S PRODUCTS ARE DESIGNED AND ENGINEERED IN ITALY.

IT’S A TEAM GAME

Targeting more podium finishes this year, with the constant reminder from the managers that the ultimate goal is to go international, the Rapidino team is all pumped for their next races, all strong in their own categories,

“For the past few months, we’ve had good results. Faruk Jorg Martin Bar is currently leading the ASEAN MTB UCI Championships League with two more rounds to go. He will be competing in the European Championship in Austria this August and Tour de Timor in Timor Leste this September.”

For Mr. Loo, communication is key in handling a team. While they don’t see each other face to face as much, he makes sure to communicate with each of them regularly.

If there’s one thing that Mr. Loo will dare not miss, “The first race, among many things, I would have to be there to see.”

Left to their own devices, during races and whenever competing under the same category, they strategize amongst themselves.

“In cycling, you cannot work alone, not only speaking for the team, but for the entire race itself. Sometimes, you go to the race, you need to get some help from another team.”

Rapidino creates a breeding ground for serious riders wanting to become pros. Like their two-wheelers boasting of dino performance, their team players are pedaling towards success in every race.
