Arthur “Tuck” possesses a superlight flashy machinery he will shape up but will never ship off. With an eye-catching mercury colour hints, his white DAHON MU SL 2014 folding bike is a ride he has been taking pride of for 9 months now.

Tuck, besides working in a shipping company, has been busy cycling since the 80s. This is why it came very easy for him to make modifications in his new flashy ride.

The Dahon MU SL has a responsive Dalloy Aluminum MU frame and a fast rolling 451 mm paired spoke wheelset. This means that this bike is good for famous climbs or riverside bike paths. Tuck took about 6 to 7 months to revamp the folding bike. His modifications were simple yet effective, and he made sure it didn’t lose its originality.

Built for performance, this bike he rode in places such as Ulu Langat. “This bike is not for off-road. I rode in so many places and it has always been an effortless ride. This is a lightweight bike and definitely feels different as compared with other bikes that I have invested in.”

Tuck mentions that Pedalspot, the bike dealer, has been a great help in getting his specifications. The 10-speed SRAM drivetrain was a great addition to this folding bike. He found the Mercury colour stunning, hence the inclusion of the Chris King limited edition turquoise bottom bracket. He even affixed a kickstand from Pletscher, giving the bike a more definitive character. Moreover, Dahon pedals were replaced with MKS detachable pedals which have a seal bearing and an alloy body. The tires were also switched to SchwalbeDurano which definitely made the ride smoother. Furthermore, the riding position of this bike was set in such a way that it gives the rider a high-powered pedaling and aerodynamic advantage. He further adds, “Regular maintenance is essential to keep the bike in a good condition.”

Tuck has definitely scored a great folding bike and with the modifications, his cycling journey goes far better.
