Bukit Mertajam Charity Ride 5.0


3 November 2019, Bukit Mertajam – Held at Stadium MPSP, Bukit Mertajam, more than 750 riders participated in the Bukit Mertajam Charity Ride 5.0, which covered a distance of 50 kilometres.

Organised by Bukit Mertajam Bicycle Club, it was flagged off at 7.15am by several prominent guests – Deputy Minister of Young and Sports YB Steven Sim Chee Kenos, EXCO Youth and Sports YB Soon Lip Chee, Majlis Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang Mr. Ravi (Penang State Sports Council), Representative of MPSP Mr. Faidzal, Pemangku Ketua Polis Daerah Supt Mohd. Mustafa Bin Bidin, Datuk Bandar Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP) Datuk Yew Tung Seang, Penang EXCO YB Chong Eng, YB Kee Khai Loon, Asas Dunia Director Mr. Kenneth Chan, Organizer Mr. Lim Kean Hock, Mr. Teh Guan Wah, Mr. Ooi Kim Aun, as well as the Head of Traffic Police Tuan Ng.

There is nothing like riding for a cause to make a rider feel amazing. The Bukit Mertajam Charity Ride, returning for its fifth year, aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and most importantly, riders did their part for charity, as RM16,000 was channeled to the underprivileged students in Bukit Mertajam.
