26th July, China – The Pocket Rocketman, Azizulhasni Awang extended his victory after winning his second gold medal at the 2018 China Track Cup in Taiyuan Velodrome.
Azizulhasni who already won his first gold in the men’s sprint race on 25th crossed the line beating two Chinese riders, China’s Xu Chao and Wang Yibo, clocked 13.569 seconds in men’s keirin.
“I’m so glad that my performance is exactly where I wanted to be a month out from Asian Games in Jakarta,” said Azizul.
Unfortunately, his teammates, Shah Firdaus and Fadhil Zonis who were also in men’s keirin event, failed to clinch the top 3 after a crash during the race.
