Azizulhasni took impressive victory at China Track Cup

25th July, China –  The world champion, Azizulhasni Awang took the biggest victory at the 2018 China Track Cup, beating China’s Xu Chao and another Malaysian track cyclist, Shah Firdaus Sahrom to the line in men’s sprint race in Taiyuan Velodrome.

In the sprint qualifying, the gold medalist Azizulhasni clocked 9.895 behind Xu Chao who clocked 9.677. The 23-year-old Shah Firdaus, who finished third with 9.912 ahead of China’s Bi Wenjun who settled with 9.942 and Kazakhstan’s Pavel Vorzhev with 9.995.

Another teammate of Azizulhasni, Mohd Fadhil Zonis was the third Malaysian to make sub 10 seconds happen and placed the sixth with a timing of 9.997.

The triumph allowed the Malaysian track cyclists to celebrate over the line prior to the Asian Games 2018, Indonesia in August.
