Imran became the first Malaysian to win Strider Cup World Championship

Seven-year-old Imran Ismail became the first Malaysian to take the first place in the newly added category 14x open at The Strider Cup World Championship in the United States on last Saturday.

In the race in Boulder, Colorado, the talented Imran beat 25 other Americans, Thailand, Costa Rica, Vietnam and the strongest competitor from Japan and emerged as a champion.

Imran has also represented Sekolah Kebangsaan Setiawangsa twice in the IAAF Kids Athletics tournament under seven years and under nine years. The Strider Cup World Championship was the fourth time that Imran participated in an international biking race, other than Tokyo and Bangkok.

Hosted by Boulder, The Strider Cup World Championship was held on 20th and 21st July 2018 at Boulder Civic Area (Central Park), 1056 Boulder Canyon Dr.

Strider Cup Races give small children a chance to put their Strider Bike skills to the test at several stops across the United States and worldwide. This unique race series caters directly to children 2-6 years old who want to experience the thrill of racing.
