Two days of some cycling wheel and reel fun were brought to you by Sports Events House, with the support of Cycling Malaysia Magazine and Taiping Cycling Club, in lieu of the screening of Dante Lam’s cycling film, To The Fore, in Malaysian cinemas.
Both rides spanned a distance of about 20km, taking riders to a route of greenery in an urban setting.
The Taiping ride was flagged off by Dato HJ Abd Rahim MD Ariff (Yg Dipertua Majlis Perbandaran, Taiping) and Supt Ismail Bin Che Isa (Timbalan Polis Daerah Taiping, Perak) at 7.30am. They showed their support by cycling together with the other riders.
A total of 330 participants joined in the fun for both events, and all were treated to a free screening of To The Fore with popcorn and drinks. Before the start of the movie, each rider was given a free To The Fore t-shirt, which most of them wore as soon as they got their hands on it. A mini-program was also held before the screening, incorporating games and lucky prizes, which definitely brought the fun to the fore!
