“The carbon bike for everyone”
The Krypton draws from the top flight Gallium Pro, using the AFS geometry and HDS tube design from the Gallium combined with 5750 High Modulus carbon composite to produce a frame that is an all rounder. Whether going for easy group rides or racing in local criteriums, the Krypton delivers consistent power transfer and uncompromised comfort. The frame shows its racing heritage, but at the same time allows for long rides, making this bike attractive for riders wanting one bike to do it all.
The Krypton features Argon 18’s 3D headtube system. Easy to install and adjust, the 3D headtube eliminates normal headset spacers, replacing them with spacers that are a structural component of the headtube. This makes height adjustment on the Krypton easy, with no compromise in headtube stiffness. Combined with the AFS geometry that ensures every Krypton is proportional in size and geometry, irrespective of frame size, the Krypton offers an optimal balance between quick, nimble steering and stability in fast descents and on rough roads. The added bonus of being Di2 compatible future proofs this frame.
Riding the Krypton shows this balance. When power is needed, a quick stomp on the pedals propels the bike forward smoothly. During climbs, the stiffness of the 5750 carbon tubes is apparent, showing little flex when climbing out of the saddle. This doesn’t detract from the comfort of the ride. While not as plush as true gran fondo frames, the Krypton strikes that point between stiffness and comfort well. For the road cyclist that needs one ride to do everything well, the Krypton is an ideal choice for a mid range rider.
